Other Events
We are still determining exactly when and where the Aurora Awards, Regency Ball and Dances will take place. Watch this space for updates!
We’re putting together bidding guidelines for the dance DJs (keep an eye on the website) and working on the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. We’re discussing areas of shared responsibility with Programming, including scheduling and location of major events, and we’re working on putting a technical team in place to handle the audio-visual requirements.
Of course, more hands on deck are always welcome. If you’re interested in working on the Opening or Closing Ceremonies, or in a technical capacity, we’d like to hear from you. Even if the position you’re interested in appears to be taken, give it a shot. One of our department heads has a position that needs to be filled.
You can reach us via events@anticipationsf.ca.

Chesley Awards
Celebrate the visual arts of science fiction and fantasy! The Chesley Awards are the only annual peer awards that recognize excellence in the field of science fiction and fantasy art.
Presented by the Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists (ASFA), the Chesleys are nominated and voted on by artists in the field. Established in 1985, and named after famed astronomical artist, Chesley Bonestell, the Chesleys honor both individual works and achievements within the preceding calendar year.
The Nominees.
